British Deputy High Commissioner visits Moi University

Moi University was on Monday December 3, 2018 honoured to host the British Deputy High Commissioner to Kenya, Ms. Susie Kitchens, who visited the University and paid a courtesy call to the Office of the Vice Chancellor.
Ms. Kitchens was hosted by Prof. Isaac N. Kimengi, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic, Research and Extension, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac S. Kosgey.
Prof. Kimengi thanked the UK Government for the continued support to Kenya through theUKaid, noting that many Kenyan scholars have gone through UK Universities.
Ms. Kitchens, in her address to the staff and students, said the UK and Kenya have a long shared history and will continue to work together to ensure maximum benefits for their partnership.
The envoy noted that Brexit will have no negative effect on Kenya and there would be greater opportunities for it to trade with the UK after it leaves the European Union.
She was accompanied byClive Allcorn, Commercial Counsellor and DIT Regional Director for East Africa, OmoreOsendo, DfID Governance Adviser and Evans Odero.
